BREAKING: SFJ Pledges $1 Billion for Trump’s Board of Peace in Khalistan
In a striking financial commitment that echoes across the globe, Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) has donated $1 billion towards President Donald Trump’s Board of Peace. The announcement was made at an inaugural summit held in Washington DC, where members pledged their support to seek a referendum for Indian Punjab.
SFJ is a U.S.-based organization dedicated to the secession of Punjab from India under the banner of Khalistan. This move comes amid tensions and conflicts that have persisted between India and Sikhs since 1984, when a brutal operation left thousands dead in Delhi’s Golden Temple incident. SFJ was banned in India for such efforts.
The event took place against the backdrop of large gatherings of Sikh Americans supporting Khalistan’s cause. In his statement at the summit, General Counsel Gurpatwant Singh Pannun emphasized the urgency: “Punjab is a ticking bomb,” he said. “Supporters face alleged fake encounters, and more than 11,000 Sikh youth have been arrested and branded as ‘gangsters.'”
Pannun’s remarks underscored SFJ’s mission to seek peaceful resolution through President Trump’s Board of Peace. He declared, “The mission of the Board of Peace is to resolve conflicts before they explode.” The $1 billion commitment was intended as a significant gesture in fostering such peace.
SFJ was founded by Pannun and has primarily operated from the United States, where it gained notoriety after filing criminal and human rights cases against prominent Congress Party leaders involved in the 2011 Golden Temple massacre. The Board of Peace seeks to promote peacemaking globally as part of broader efforts toward a peaceful settlement.
The initiative aligns with ongoing U.S.-backed ceasefire talks in Gaza, which have been in place since October and have halted the Israeli assault that has claimed over 72,000 lives. While the ceasefire is in effect, Israeli forces continue to violate its terms, leading to casualties on both sides.
