Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah stated that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is not in favor of imposing bans on any political party.
Speaking to the media at Numaish Chowrangi in Karachi on Wednesday, Shah reviewed security arrangements for processions and gatherings, noting that all security agencies, including the police and Rangers, are on high alert. Local government bodies and the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) have also been activated for the arrangements.
The Chief Minister emphasized that he is overseeing security for the central processions in Karachi and Hyderabad, highlighting a new wave of terrorism in the country. He assured that security assessments will continue until the end of the processions.
When asked about the potential ban on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Murad Ali Shah clarified that the PPP was not consulted regarding the decision and does not support banning any political party. He urged PTI to reflect on its actions, stating that winning seats or obtaining votes alone does not constitute a political party and that PTI has reached this point due to its own actions.
