Sindh Government Announces 15.62% Wage Hike for Industrial Workers

The Sindh government has introduced a substantial 15.62% wage increase for workers in the industrial sector.

The Department of Labour and Human Resources has issued a notification outlining the updated pay structure, which affects semi-skilled, skilled, and highly skilled employees across 50 industries.

Under the new rates, semi-skilled workers will earn Rs38,280 per month, skilled workers will receive Rs45,910, and highly skilled workers will be paid Rs47,868.

This wage increase follows the Sindh cabinet’s approval last week of a higher minimum wage for unskilled laborers, setting the rate at Rs37,000 per month in August. The government’s decision aims to enhance the livelihoods of workers in the province’s industrial sector.
