Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah announced a Rs7 billion relief package for Gul Plaza tragedy victims. The compensation includes Rs10 million each for 72 deceased families and immediate relief of Rs500,000 to 849 affected shopkeepers.
The fire at Gul Plaza in January claimed over 70 lives and destroyed hundreds of shops. A total of Rs511 million in compensation cheques has been distributed among 200 verified victims. The remaining compensation will be released after KCCI verification based on inventory losses.
