Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has unveiled ambitious plans for his province, positioning Sindh as a burgeoning hub for Information Technology (IT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). In a ceremony celebrating an IT entry test, Tessori emphasized the importance of connecting youth with modern technology. The governor highlighted the immense talent within Sindh’s student population, confident that these young minds will contribute significantly to Pakistan’s future.
He praised Federal Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja for facilitating much-needed internet connectivity in Sindh through a Rs4 billion initiative. Speaking at the event, Tessori applauded this commitment as “gift” to further enhance educational and technological advancements across the province.
Tessori outlined his vision for a robust IT infrastructure, noting that several projects are already operational in Badin and Sanghar districts. He committed to extending these networks throughout Sindh’s vast expanse, pledging continued support from the Governor House.
Federal Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja also participated, detailing plans for laying over 400 kilometers of fiber lines in Sanghar and Badin areas. She affirmed her government’s dedication to ensuring every corner of Sindh enjoys internet connectivity.
Tessori’s vision underscores a proactive approach towards bridging the technological gap between urban centers and remote regions within Sindh. As Pakistan looks to bolster its economic growth and technological prowess, Tessori’s initiatives represent promising steps toward realizing this goal.
