Jannik Sinner of Italy extended his winning streak over Alexander Zverev to seven matches, advancing to the Miami Open men’s final against Jiri Lehecka. The Italian, 24, defeated Germany’s Zverev 6-3, 7-6 (7/4) in an hour and a half, firing 15 aces and boosting his streak of consecutive sets won at elite Masters 1000 level to 32.

Sinner aims for the first “Sunshine Double” since Roger Federer in 2017, winning titles at Indian Wells and Miami. He also beat Zverev two weeks ago in the Indian Wells semi-finals and seeks his second Miami crown in three years.

In the other semifinal, Lehecka, seeded 21st, defeated France’s Arthur Fils 6-2, 6-2. Sinner praised Lehecka’s performance, stating he was an “incredible player” who will be even more free than him in future matches.

Sinner aims for his 26th ATP title in the Miami final, while Lehecka seeks to jump past her current career high ranking of 16th and reach 14th after a win. This would also mark Lehecka’s first Masters 1000 final.
