Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi met with JUI-F emir Maulana Fazlur Rehman to discuss federal budget, provincial share in NFC Award, and joint efforts for provincial rights.
During their meeting at Mufti Mahmood Markaz, the leaders discussed matters of mutual interest, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s concerns over its share from merged districts under the National Finance Code (NFC). Afridi accused the federal and Punjab governments of withholding wheat supplies to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and gas supply issues.
The CM further alleged that the federation is treating Khyber Pakhtunkhwa unfairly, akin to a stepmother, in violation of Article 151 and Article 158 of the Constitution. Senior leaders from PTI also attended this meeting.
