Dengue, chikungunya, and malaria cases have surged across various parts of the country, leading to an overflow of patients in hospitals, health officials report.

In Sindh alone, a total of 249,151 malaria cases have been reported between January and October, with significant spikes in urban and rural areas. Karachi recorded 1,976 cases, while Hyderabad and Larkana divisions reported 119,293 and 55,294 cases, respectively. Other affected regions include Mirpurkhas with 33,953 cases, Shaheed Benazirabad with 20,858, and Sukkur with 17,777 cases.

Health experts attribute the rise in cases to mosquito breeding due to poor drainage systems and a lack of preventive measures, urging authorities and residents to take immediate action.
