Taliban Better than Khan: Azma Bokhari

Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari launched a scathing attack on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, drawing a controversial comparison to the Taliban.

During a press conference, Bokhari accused Khan of seeking support and NRO (National Reconciliation Ordinance) from powerful quarters under the guise of a ‘simple formula’ of revolution. She questioned the significance of the Hamoodur Rahman Commission (HRC) report, suggesting that a commission should instead probe Khan’s alleged ‘anti-Pakistan’ agenda, claiming his intention to divide the nation.

Bokhari’s remarks intensified with the assertion that even the Taliban, notorious for their extreme views, are preferable to Khan, as they take responsibility for their actions, unlike the PTI founder.

These comments follow a request from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cybercrime Cell seeking access to Imran Khan for inquiries regarding a controversial social media post attributed to his official account, which allegedly propagated anti-state sentiments, particularly targeting the Pakistan Army.
