Tarar Urges Aitchison College Principal to Reconsider Resignation

Federal Minister for Information, Attaullah Tarar, intervened on Monday to persuade Principal Michael Thomson of Aitchison College to rethink his resignation and prolong his tenure at the esteemed institution.

Earlier in the day, the college was rocked by Principal Thomson’s resignation, attributing it to alleged interference from the Governor House and political pressures.

While the resignation letter lacked explicit details, it was reportedly linked to political influences, notably Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman’s decision regarding tuition fees.

In a proactive move, Minister Tarar personally reached out to Principal Thomson, advocating for a reconsideration of his decision and urging dialogue for a harmonious resolution.
