A 16-year-old youth from Kohat drowned in Tanda Dam on Saturday. The young man, identified as Rizwan, was bathing with his friends when tragedy struck.

His friends managed to escape unharmed. Upon receiving the distress call, local police arrived at the scene and began an investigation after transporting Rizwan’s body to a hospital for proper procedures.

With temperatures rising nationwide, many, especially young people, visit water bodies like canals, dams, lakes, and reservoirs to cool off during heatwaves. However, such visits sometimes result in fatal accidents due to lack of caution.
