Trump’s Neck Rash Raises Health Speculations During Medal Ceremony

On Monday at the Medal of Honor Ceremony, Donald Trump appeared with an unexpected rash on one side of his neck. This development sparked renewed speculation about the president’s current state of health, particularly after previously observed makeup on his hand and multiple bruised hands.

The recent incident raised concerns that have grown in intensity over the past few months. In February 2025, Trump was seen with what appeared to be makeup on his hand—prompting scrutiny into his well-being. Since then, he has been spotted with bruises on his hands several times and even seemed drowsy during a cabinet meeting in December.

Dr. Sean Barbella, the president’s personal physician, clarified that the rash was due to a preventive skincare treatment applied to the right side of his neck for the past week. The doctor stated, “The redness is expected to last for a few weeks.”

Further medical evaluations confirmed that Trump has chronic venous insufficiency—a benign and common condition, particularly in individuals over 70 years old. These tests included bilateral lower extremity venous Doppler ultrasounds, which revealed this condition.

In the context of these findings, the White House issued a memo stating, “Bilateral lower extremity venous Doppler ultrasounds were performed and revealed chronic venous insufficiency.”

Despite his recent health disclosures, President Trump has maintained that his overall health is in perfect condition. In an extensive interview with The Wall Street Journal, he dismissed questions about his fitness, explaining that he takes larger than recommended doses of aspirin to thin his blood.

“Doctors tell me I should take more aspirin because it’s good for thinning my blood,” Trump stated. “I don’t want thick blood pouring through my heart.” He also acknowledged his discomfort with the scrutiny surrounding his health and regretted undergoing advanced cardiovascular and abdominal imaging during a routine checkup in October, which he felt was unnecessary.

Throughout his career as president, Trump has always been scrutinized regarding his health status. However, he insists that this condition does not prevent him from performing his duties effectively.
