On Saturday, the United States and Israel launched a substantial military operation against Iran, according to President Donald Trump’s statement. The strikes were designed to dismantle the country’s military capabilities and prevent it from developing nuclear weapons.

CBS News data revealed multiple attack sites across Iran based on government officials’ disclosures, CBS News reporting, and information provided by The Associated Press. A source closely involved in the Israeli strikes mentioned that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian were key targets of the initial assault rounds. According to reports from The Associated Press, the first strike hit Khamenei’s residence in downtown Tehran. While there was no immediate confirmation on whether these attacks succeeded, Iranian media outlets reported that other locations were also hit across the country, including a significant nuclear facility in Isfahan, a holy city like Qom, and towns such as Karaj, Kermanshah, Lorestan, and Tabriz.

In a video statement released by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel targeted military installations, specifically missile launch sites. He stated that the strikes would continue “as long as necessary.”

The Israeli Defense Forces advised all individuals within or near military industrial facilities and infrastructure to evacuate immediately due to the presence of dangerous weapons and facilities. This urgent notice warned Iranians: “Your presence in these areas poses a significant risk to your life, until further instructions are issued.”

U.S. military forces employed Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles (TLAMs) for air defense suppression and used one-way attack drones during the operation.

Contributions to this report came from Faris Tanyos, Tucker Reals, James LaPorta, and John Kelly.
