US General Dan Caine Stresses Readiness for Combat Operations

The top US general stated on Wednesday that US troops are prepared to resume combat operations should Iran fail to reach a negotiated settlement in ongoing talks.

Tehran, demonstrating its ability to disrupt Gulf energy supplies by controlling the strait, has entered the talks without trust in US negotiators. The Supreme National Security Council of Iran declared the enemy’s war against the nation as an undeniable and crushing defeat.

US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth emphasized Iran’s military defeat and lack of choice but to strike a deal, highlighting destruction of defense industry, navy, and missile capabilities. The US military remains in the Middle East to monitor Iran’s compliance with the ceasefire and enriched uranium stockpile.
