Usher Opens Up About His Views on Diddy Convicted in Prostitution Case

Usher recently spoke about disgraced music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who was sentenced to four years and two months in prison, a $500,000 fine, and five years of supervised release on two counts of transportation for prostitution.

Despite the controversy surrounding Diddy, Usher has stated he has nothing negative to say about him. The singer has known Combs for decades and refused to condemn him during his sentencing.

During an interview with Forbes’ The Enterprise Zone, Usher was asked about influential people from his life. When it came time to discuss Combs, the Nice and Slow hitmaker replied: “Legacy.”

Usher also mentioned a 2015 interview where he said he “knew better” than to let himself get distracted on tour. He added that Diddy seemed to avoid much of the negativity present in today’s story.

The singer further explained his stance, saying, “I don’t have anything negative to say about Sean Combs because my experience was not what the world has seen and how he’s been misrepresented.”

Diddy has been behind bars since his arrest in September 2024. He was convicted in July 2025 on two counts of transportation for prostitution but acquitted on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering.

A representative for Diddy stated that Sean “Diddy” Combs is using his time in prison to take his sobriety seriously.
