Zimbabwe women’s cricket team will embark on a historic tour of Pakistan this week, featuring six white-ball matches from April 29 to May 15 in Karachi. The ODI series, set for May 3, 6 and 9, forms part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-2029.

Zimbabwe suffered an early setback in their championship debut against New Zealand, losing all three ODIs and T20Is by large margins. The Pakistan tour will see Zimbabwe’s women face off in three T20Is on May 12, 14 and 15 for the first time in this format.

This is only the second international encounter between the two teams, with Pakistan winning the 2021 World Cup Qualifier against Zimbabwe. Currently, Pakistan sits fifth in the ICC Women’s Championship points table after losing their recent series to South Africa.

The tour aims to provide crucial preparation and exposure for both teams as they gear up for future global tournaments.
