Zong partners with PAA to establish 5G Customer Facilitation Desk at Karachi Airport

Zong, Pakistan’s leading technology service enterprise, has collaborated with the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) to launch a dedicated 5G Customer Facilitation Desk at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi. The initiative aims to provide domestic and international travellers with seamless access to SIM activation, high-speed mobile data services, and real-time customer support upon arrival at one of Pakistan’s busiest aviation hubs.

The launch marks the expansion of Zong’s industry-first airport facilitation model, following its successful deployment at international airports in Islamabad and Lahore. The initiative underscores the company’s commitment to enhancing customer experience through next-generation connectivity solutions while supporting the country’s broader digital transformation agenda.

The dedicated facilitation desk will strengthen the airport’s digital ecosystem by ensuring uninterrupted connectivity for passengers. Building on this momentum, Zong plans to further expand its airport presence through kiosk deployments at Peshawar and Multan airports.

As part of its broader technology roadmap, Zong continues to advance diversified digital products and services that address the evolving connectivity needs of consumers and enterprises. The initiative also reflects the company’s growing focus on AI-enabled solutions, aimed at delivering smarter, more efficient, and connected travel experiences in line with the vision of a Digital Pakistan.

Speaking on the occasion, Anas Matloob, Deputy Regional General Manager – South, Zong, said: “Karachi serves as a key gateway for both domestic and international travellers, making seamless connectivity an essential part of the travel experience. Through this initiative, we are enabling passengers to access reliable telecom services immediately upon arrival, reinforcing our commitment to customer convenience, innovation, and service excellence.”

The Joint Director Commercial, Pakistan Airports Authority Karachi added: “At Jinnah International Airport, our focus remains on enhancing passenger facilitation through modern and efficient services. This collaboration with Zong enables us to provide improved digital support to travellers, contributing to a more seamless, connected, and comfortable airport experience.”

The launch reflects the shared commitment of Zong and PAA to leveraging technology for improved passenger services and strengthening Pakistan’s digital infrastructure.
