In Ukraine’s southern city of Odesa, nearly 300,000 residents are experiencing severe disruptions to their daily lives as a result of Russian military action. Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba highlighted these distressing conditions on Thursday during an official statement. He noted that the attacks have left nearly two hundred buildings without heat and approximately ten thousand consumers similarly deprived.

The situation in Odesa is particularly dire, with critical infrastructure failing to operate effectively due to this assault. These outages have not only created discomfort but also put public safety at risk, given the extreme winter weather conditions prevalent in the region.

In a neighboring city, Dnipro, another form of deprivation is being felt: heating has been cut off for about ten thousand consumers. The deputy prime minister emphasized that these cuts are causing significant hardship and suffering to numerous families who rely on this essential service during the cold months.

Kuleba’s comments come as a stark reminder of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, exacerbated by recent military operations. As winter sets in with harsh temperatures, these power and heating outages present serious challenges for affected citizens, testing their resilience and prompting calls for urgent international aid to mitigate suffering in both Odesa and Dnipro.”
