FGCM Formally Charges Retired Lt. Gen. Hameed: ISPR

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced that a Field General Court Martial (FGCM) has formally charged retired Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed. The proceedings, which began on August 12, are being conducted under relevant sections of the Pakistan Army Act.

The charges against Lt. Gen. (r) Hameed include engaging in political activities, compromising national security by violating the Official Secrets Act, misuse of authority and government resources, and causing undue harm to individuals.

Additionally, a separate investigation is underway into his alleged involvement in violent incidents, including those linked to the unrest on May 9. This inquiry will also probe suspected collusion with political elements in the violent acts.
