Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi honored workers on International Labour Day, emphasizing their crucial role in national progress and economic stability.
In his statement, Naqvi acknowledged that development stories are written by laborers’ hard work, noting their significant contribution to the country’s growth. He highlighted that this day recognizes the dignity of those hands that silently strengthen the economy.
The minister stressed that a worker is not just an individual but the backbone of any nation’s development, without whom prosperity remains incomplete. He added that in Islam, hard work is considered worship and workers are respected.
Naqvi also set a 15-day timeline for cashless operations in passport offices. He reiterated that the Constitution guarantees workers’ rights, fair wages, and improved working conditions, emphasizing their progress directly impacts Pakistan’s development. The minister pledged to continue advocating for workers’ rights and eliminating deprivation.
