Minister for Maritime Affairs Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry said this collaboration is transformative, aiming to unlock Karachi Port Trust’s waterfront assets potential and position Pakistan as a regional hub for maritime commerce and investment.

Chaudhry also noted that all regulatory requirements under Pakistani law would be met before the project proceeds. The Saudi delegation showed interest in broader maritime sector cooperation, including port infrastructure and related projects. This visit is part of Islamabad and Riyadh’s efforts to deepen economic ties and explore investment opportunities in ports, logistics, infrastructure, and trade facilitation.
