Punjab Imposes Section 144 for Seven Days

The Punjab Home Department has declared Section 144 in the province for the next seven days, citing security concerns.

Secretary Noor-Ul-Amin Mengal issued a notification enforcing the order to protect human lives and property, effective until June 27.

The order bans meetings, processions, rallies, sit-ins, and protests across Punjab due to terrorism threats. The government has also prohibited public gatherings, identifying them as potential targets for terrorists and miscreants.

The Home Department has instructed authorities to publicize the implementation of Section 144 to ensure compliance.
