A Nepalese resident in Abu Dhabi has won the UAE Lottery’s latest Dh30 million jackpot in the most recent Lucky Day draw. The lottery announced this after initially revealing only the winner’s first name, Tayab K**, on its website, sparking widespread speculation.
Tayab Khan matched all seven of his chosen numbers to the winning set, transforming his future with a single draw, according to the UAE Lottery statement. This jackpot is the first since the lottery reduced the Grand Prize from Dh100 million to Dh30 million in late 2025.
The win follows Anil Kumar Anilkumar Bolla’s claim of the previous year’s Dh100 million Grand Prize. Khan’s ticket was drawn on April 27, coinciding with the start of Eid-ul-Azha. The same day saw a Dh5 million prize awarded two days later.
Khan, who chose his numbers randomly and was unaware he had won until receiving an email notification, expressed feeling “absolutely amazing” upon learning of his win. The UAE Lottery plans to release a video interview and more details in the coming days but has not yet published Khan’s photo.
A spokesperson highlighted the significance of the win, noting it as the second Grand Prize since the reduction in jackpot size and reflecting the lottery’s commitment to community engagement through meaningful prize opportunities.
