In his confession, Sohail revealed that Fitna al-Khawarij centers in Afghanistan were supported by the Afghan Taliban and had close ties with ISIS and Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan.

His operational unit consisted of over 20 militants, including Afghan nationals, and he alleged funding from Afghanistan as well as foreign intelligence sources like Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).

Sohail admitted involvement in attacks on security forces in Bannu, Lakki Marwat, and Mianwali areas. He also stated that Fitna al-Khawarij has nothing to do with Islam or jihad but commits terrorism for money.
