A brutal case of betrayal and murder unfolded in Defence Phase 7, where a man named Mustafa was allegedly killed by his companions over a financial dispute.

Mustafa had traveled to Karachi from Rawalpindi with Rs7 million, accompanied by his friends Mujahid and Ubaid. The trio checked into a guest house, where the crime took place.

Concerned after failing to reach his son, Mustafa’s father called Mujahid, who gave evasive answers and insisted that Mustafa was asleep. Suspicious, he demanded a video call, but Mujahid deliberately turned off the lights. Seeking answers, the father contacted the guest house staff, who revealed that one person had already fled while the other was attempting to escape.

Relatives rushed to the scene, only to find Mustafa’s bloodied body. Police confirmed that one man had been killed and another injured in the shooting. Mujahid survived and has been arrested, while Ubaid remains at large.

The father alleges that Ubaid fled with his son’s Rs7 million, car, weapons, and other valuables. Police have registered an FIR and are actively searching for the fugitive.

Defence SHO Shahid Taj confirmed that Mustafa was of Pakhtun origin, while Mujahid and Ubaid are Afghan nationals.
