ASP Shehrbano Naqvi Likely to Head PCB Women’s Cricket

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is reportedly considering Syeda Shehrbano Naqvi, a former Assistant Superintendent of Police, for a top position in Pakistan’s women’s cricket management, following the recent resignation of Tania Malik. Malik, who had led the women’s cricket division since October 2021, stepped down, prompting PCB to seek new leadership for the team.

Sources suggest PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi is evaluating Shehrbano, who currently serves as the personal staff officer to Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, as a strong contender for the role. Her commitment to public service and recent achievements have caught the board’s attention.

Shehrbano made headlines earlier this year when she intervened during an attack on a woman in Lahore’s Ichhra Bazaar, an act that earned her widespread recognition for her bravery and quick action.
