At Least 8 Shot in Coney Island Shooting, ABC News Reports

On Sunday, ABC News reported that at least eight individuals, including four children, were shot late on the Fourth of July in Brooklyn’s Coney Island, New York. The incident occurred around 10:37pm on the 2900 block of West 31st Street, according to the New York City Police Department.

The injured included a 37-year-old man, a 33-year-old man, a 25-year-old woman, a 21-year-old woman, and three young boys aged 14, 12, and six. All victims were transported by EMS to local area hospitals; seven people were listed in stable condition, while the 21-year-old woman was in critical condition.

The New York City Police Department stated that they recovered a firearm at the scene but have not made any arrests.
