“I am proud to say that under the leadership of our Chief Minister, we saw over 2 million participants come together during Basant,” Marriyum Aurangzeb declared. “It’s an honor to have witnessed such a vibrant gathering filled with love for our rich culture.”

She also commended the CM’s strategic decisions, particularly her directive to outfit motorcycles and scooters with safety devices—estimated at over 1.4 million units. The senior minister emphasized that these measures were not only essential for ensuring public safety but also facilitated an unparalleled level of community engagement.

Additionally, Marriyum Aurangzeb underscored the inclusive spirit of the event by detailing how free transportation was made available to the public—an initiative that benefitted over 2 million individuals during the festive period. The sheer scale and dedication behind this celebration underscored a resilient unity in Punjab, where political divisions are quickly overshadowed by shared cultural aspirations.

In essence, the Basant Festival served as both a testament to the power of community spirit and a powerful rebuttal to any voices seeking to incite division or unrest. Marriyum Aurangzeb’s remarks highlighted that despite occasional tensions within the political sphere, these events remain pivotal in maintaining harmony among Punjab’s diverse populace.
