Shorna Akter then scored an unbeaten 39 off 22 deliveries, helping Bangladesh post a competitive total of 123 for six in their allotted 20 overs. Pakistan’s batting collapsed after Gull Feroza’s dismissal, ending on 100 for eight and falling short by 23 runs.
For Pakistan, captain Fatima Sana was the standout bowler with two wickets for just 18 runs. Bangladesh’s spinners tightened the contest, taking three wickets each from Sanjida Akter Meghla and Nahida Akter, while Rabeya Khan and Ritu Moni contributed one wicket apiece.
The defeat ended Pakistan’s campaign in the Women’s T20 World Cup, while Bangladesh kept their hopes alive with a vital victory.
