Barcelona coach Hansi Flick hailed Raphinha’s return from injury as his team inches closer to clinching the Spanish title.
Flick’s side are 11 points ahead of Real Madrid and can secure a second consecutive La Liga title this weekend if they defeat Osasuna on Saturday and Real Madrid fail to beat Espanyol the following day.
Raphinha, who was sidelined due to a hamstring injury sustained in March while playing for Brazil, could help Barca match the all-time record of 100 points in a Spanish league season.
Flick praised Raphinha’s dedication, stating that his mentality and attitude are always at 100 percent. He also noted that the young player is recovering well from his injury and will be available for the World Cup.
If Barcelona win their remaining five matches, they will set a new record first achieved by Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid in 2012 and then matched by Tito Vilanova’s Barca side in 2013. Flick emphasized that his team is focused on the upcoming games but remains hopeful of reaching the 100-point milestone.
