BC Lions dismiss special teams co-ordinator Cory McDiarmid following winless start in Canadian Football League.
Announcement made Sunday after losing 41-33 to Calgary Stampeders at Apple Bowl. This loss leaves BC at bottom of CFL West Division with three losses in a row.
General manager Ryan Rigmaiden confirms immediate dismissal and thanks McDiarmid for his contributions.
McDiarmid, experienced CFL coach, previously worked with several franchises and won two Grey Cups with the BC Lions and Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Lions aim to improve after poor start. Next challenge: tough match against unbeaten Edmonton Elks on Saturday.
