ISLAMABAD – The Benazir Income Support Programme has unveiled a substantial boost in payments, ensuring robust support for women ahead of Ramazan. Senator Rubina Khalid, Chairperson of the programme, announced at an e-court session held at BISP headquarters that the quarterly payment under the Benazir Khawateen Kafalat Programme will now be Rs14,500 per recipient. This represents a Rs1,000 hike from its previous amount.

In addition to this increase in payments for eligible women, other funds associated with the programme—such as those supporting educational scholarships and the Benazir Nashonuma Program—have also seen an uplift of Rs500 each quarter. These adjustments are aimed at providing enhanced financial assistance during Ramadan, a key Islamic month characterized by increased spiritual focus and charitable giving.

Senator Khalid underlined that recipients should receive their full entitlements without any deductions or interruptions. She emphasized the importance of ensuring these funds reach those who need them most effectively, advising anyone facing issues to engage with BISP’s helpline at 080026477 or visit a local office for further assistance.

The decision underscores BISP’s commitment to bolstering financial stability during this important period and highlights its dedication to supporting vulnerable communities. With the increased payments now in place, expect a smoother Ramazan experience for many families who rely on these funds as part of their monthly income support.
