Ahead of the release, Maqsood teased the track on Instagram with a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the video. He shared that he wanted to start making songs again but didn’t feel like doing acting this time. So, he decided to become his own muppet instead.

The music video showcases the muppet version of Maqsood conveying the emotions of the song effectively. O’re Saajna is a slow, romantic piece built around soft acoustic melodies, reminiscent of his earlier work with Strings.

The video features the muppet “BM” reminiscing about a lost love and blends nostalgia with a playful aesthetic against the backdrop of Karachi’s coastline and city streets. It reflects Maqsood’s ongoing love for the Urdu language and merges music and Urdu into a single artistic expression.

While many parents on Instagram praised his dedication to children’s content, Maqsood clarified that this release is also aimed at adults. The full music video was released on Saturday, marking a heartfelt and creative comeback for the artist.
