The popular business reality show “Shark Tank” is making its debut in Pakistan, aiming to stimulate the country’s economy and provide a valuable platform for young, talented individuals.
“Shark Tank Pakistan is an internationally acclaimed show. This is a big opportunity for our country and all those entrepreneurs so that they can get funding for their business ideas through our platform,” entrepreneur Aleena Nadeem stated during the launch event held in Karachi last week.
Aleena highlighted that the show offers participants a chance to present and promote their products and ideas to potential investors.
Originally aired in the United States, “Shark Tank” is a renowned reality TV show where entrepreneurs pitch their innovative business ideas to secure investment. The show’s format has inspired adaptations in various countries, including this latest venture in Pakistan.
The show aims to showcase new business ventures and help them succeed through investment, particularly benefiting aspiring entrepreneurs looking to launch their startups.
The launch event was attended by prominent figures from Pakistan’s business community and entertainment industry, including Zahid Ahmed, Sanam Saeed, Mohib Mirza, Faisal Kapadia, Ali Rehman, Feroze Khan, and Ijaz Aslam.
Actress Sanam Saeed expressed her belief that the show would not only benefit the economy but also provide a significant opportunity for skilled individuals. She voiced her optimism, saying the show would help identify and support those with unique business ideas.
“I hope the businesspersons on the show will give new people a chance,” Sanam commented.
Echoing her views, actor Mohib Mirza shared his enthusiasm for the show, looking forward to seeing individuals with unique ideas and “the ability to dream” come forward. He mentioned being a dedicated viewer of the American edition of the show.
Mirza also noted that many talented individuals frequently showcase their inventions on social media, and this show would be particularly beneficial for those who have the skills but lack the necessary capital.
Actor Ijaz Aslam also remarked on the event, pointing out that many young people have the vision and ambition to achieve their goals but often struggle due to a lack of support.
Mirza further added that many global figures, such as those behind Amazon and Microsoft, started with small startups and have since achieved worldwide recognition.
