Caretaker Information Minister Murtaza Solangi announced on Sunday that notices have been dispatched to around 22 political leaders and workers, along with 32 journalists, as part of an inquiry into the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) tasked with investigating a malicious social media campaign against Supreme Court judges.
According to Solangi, approximately 110 individuals have received notices following an investigation into 600 social media accounts.
Solangi clarified that these notices have been issued in accordance with the law and stressed that no harassment or FIRs have been filed against anyone thus far.
Earlier this month, the interior ministry established a JIT to investigate the malicious social media campaign targeting Supreme Court judges. The campaign, spread across various platforms, aimed to undermine the reputation of judges involved in recent judicial decisions.
