Chacha Cricket, known widely as “Chacha Cricket,” is set to conclude his long-standing role as Pakistan’s most iconic supporter at Thursday’s final ODI against Australia in Gaddafi Stadium.

A fixture at Pakistan matches since the 1980s, Chacha Cricket will bid farewell to home crowds after nearly four decades of steadfast support. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) honored him with a special guest invitation during the second ODI in Lahore and organized a farewell ceremony where he cut a celebratory cake.

Born on October 8, 1949, in Sialkot, Chacha Cricket first gained prominence at high-profile matches in Sharjah and officially became a mascot for Pakistan cricket in 1996. Wearing his trademark green kurta, long white beard, and star-and-crescent cap, he followed the team across Pakistan and around the world, often sacrificing personal gain to do so.

Media reports suggest Chacha Cricket gave up a lucrative job in the UAE and sold valuable possessions to support the national team globally, showcasing an extraordinary passion for cricket. The PCB organized a commemorative ceremony in Lahore to honor his enduring impact on Pakistani cricket. For generations of fans, Chacha Cricket embodied the spirit of the stands, reminding everyone that the heart of cricket lies not just on the field but also in the crowd.
