Chinese government has extended a helping hand to Pakistan by providing emergency cash assistance worth $100,000 for regions affected by heavy rains in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
At a donation ceremony held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong handed over the cash assistance to Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary, Mohammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi. Ambassador Zaidong reiterated China’s commitment to supporting Pakistan during times of crisis, emphasizing the importance of timely assistance for the affected populations.
The official statement released by the Chinese embassy underscored the significance of this contribution in providing essential support to those in need. It also highlighted the proactive role of Chinese entities in Pakistan, including the distribution of 30,000 bottles of mineral water and 3,000 cans of food to affected communities in Gwadar. Efforts have also been made to provide refuge to displaced individuals at the Gwadar Faqur School, showcasing the enduring friendship between China and Pakistan.
Looking ahead, the Chinese Consulate General in Karachi plans to provide additional material assistance worth RMB 500,000 in the near future, demonstrating the ongoing commitment to aiding Pakistan’s recovery efforts.
