Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian condemned the recent attacks in Balochistan and pledged firm support for Pakistan’s anti-terrorism efforts. During a press briefing, he emphasized China’s strong opposition to any form of terrorism, stating that “China firmly opposes any form of terrorism and will always stand by Pakistan.”

Jian also expressed condolences to all those affected: “We mourn the lives lost and our hearts go out to the injured and their families.” The Chinese embassy in Pakistan echoed these sentiments on X, saying they “deeply mourn for the lives lost” and offering “sincere sympathies to the bereaved families and the injured.”

Several international actors have joined China in condemning these attacks. Apart from China, countries including the United States, European Union, Iran, and others have also expressed their disapproval of the recent coordinated strikes across Balochistan.

On Saturday, security forces repelled a large-scale attack by multiple terrorist groups operating under the designation “Fitna al Hindustan.” This group is alleged to be funded and directed by India. The military’s media wing reported that at least 92 terrorists were killed in the attacks.

The ISPR, Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations department, stated that 15 security personnel lost their lives while repelling the assaults. Additionally, 18 civilians died during the various terrorist activities carried out across Balochistan. The terror groups targeted police stations, banks, and government institutions with a disregard for civilian safety.

In Quetta’s Sariab area, terrorists attacked police stations, burned records, and killed officers who resisted. They also robbed and burned the local bank in Hazarganji while opening indiscriminate fire against nearby residents. In Kharan, gunmen ambushed the home of the Mullazai Qaumi Etihad chairman and his security guards, killing them all.

In Tump, armed men attacked a police station and freed 30 prisoners from the district jail. They also torched banks in the area, causing considerable damage to public property. Similar acts of violence were reported in Kalat, where terrorists attacked government buildings, injuring three law enforcement personnel and setting two banks on fire.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi identified India as the primary instigator behind these attacks, asserting that it not only provides financial backing but also aids terrorist groups in planning their operations. This assertion underscores India’s alleged role in terrorism within Pakistan.
