LAHORE: A Chinese company has announced plans to establish a manufacturing plant in Punjab for robotic agricultural equipment, a significant step toward advancing modern farming technologies in the region.
The announcement came during Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s ongoing official visit to China. On the first day of her visit, an MoU was signed between the Punjab Agriculture Department and China’s AI Force Tech, with Maryam Nawaz witnessing the ceremony.
She pledged her government’s full support for the plant’s establishment, emphasizing the transformative role of modern technologies in improving the livelihoods of Punjab’s farmers.
During the visit, the chief minister held discussions with AI Force Tech’s founder, Dr. Han, and its CEO, showcasing Punjab’s initiatives to integrate cutting-edge robotic machinery into the agricultural sector.
The eight-day visit, made at the invitation of the Communist Party of China, aims to strengthen ties and promote innovation in Punjab’s agriculture industry.
