Chinese PM to Attend SCO Summit in Pakistan

Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang is scheduled to visit Pakistan next month for a three-day trip to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Islamabad.

According to media reports, Prime Minister Li Qiang’s visit will be conducted in two phases. He is expected to arrive in Islamabad on October 14 for a bilateral visit. During this phase, discussions will focus on strengthening Pakistan-China relations and other relevant matters.

The second phase of his visit will involve attending the SCO heads of government summit, which is scheduled for October 15 and 16. This visit marks the first time in 11 years that a Chinese prime minister will visit Pakistan.

During his stay, Prime Minister Li Qiang is expected to represent China at the SCO summit and engage in talks with Pakistani officials. The signing of several bilateral agreements between the two countries is anticipated during his visit.
