CM Bugti Introduces Oxford Scholarship for Baloch Students

Balochistan’s Chief Minister, Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, made a groundbreaking announcement of a new graduate scholarship specifically for Baloch students at Oxford University. This landmark decision was revealed during the prestigious annual dinner of the Oxford Pakistan Programme (OPP) Endowment Fund in Oxford, UK.

The dinner, attended by approximately 150 distinguished guests, featured notable figures such as former Caretaker PM and current Senator Anwaar ul Haq Kakar, Malala Yousafzai, and Professor Kamal Munir, among others.

Emphasizing the paramount importance of education in fostering democracy and societal progress, the Chief Minister highlighted the scholarship’s significance in nurturing future leaders from Balochistan. He underscored how this initiative aims not only to bridge educational gaps but also to strengthen the connection between local aspirations and global educational standards.

“This scholarship represents a fundamental commitment to the educational transformation and empowerment of Balochistan’s youth,” stated CM Bugti, expressing his vision for a brighter future for Baloch students through access to world-class education at Oxford University.
