Council of Islamic Ideology to Review Court Rulings

An important meeting of the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) has been convened in Islamabad today. The agenda for the meeting includes a review of the Federal Shariat Court’s ruling on suicide, as well as the Islamabad High Court’s judgment in the Amara Waqas case.

The council will also discuss the Family Laws Bill 2016, presented by Member of the National Assembly Sharmila Faruqui. Additionally, deliberations will be held on the Islamic legal (Sharia) and legal aspects of cornea donation and transplantation.
