In a tragic development in Tharparkar, police have uncovered another dark chapter involving arranged marriages and familial pressures that tragically end in death. The latest incident involved Jai Ram Chetan Kolhi, aged 17, who was forced into an arranged marriage just the previous evening by his parents. His cousin, Jhamo Vishnu Kolhi, also 16 years old, had previously expressed strong affection for him but faced societal constraints that led them both to take their lives.

The two cousins were discovered hanging from a tree in Dewo Dhani village by authorities who responded swiftly after receiving initial reports. They moved the bodies to Islamkot Taluka Hospital for postmortem examination before handing them over to the families, revealing the heartbreaking circumstances behind these deaths.
