Customs Enforcement, working alongside an intelligence agency, conducted a surprise raid at Karachi’s Star City Mobile Market in Saddar, seizing smuggled electronics valued at over Rs 100 million. The operation uncovered more than 2,500 used mobile phones, over 350 tablets, smartwatches, airpods, and other electronic devices.

The crackdown targeted multiple warehouses, with authorities also confiscating Indian-origin gutka and liquid vape flavors. All seized items have been transferred to the Customs House Karachi, where officials are cataloging the goods. A detailed inventory specifying the models and brands is expected within the next few days.

Despite a large crowd gathering at the market during the raid, enforcement teams maintained control without requiring additional security support. A Customs spokesperson stated that the operation reflects the government’s ongoing efforts to curb smuggling networks.
