Govt, Teachers Agree on Sindh Education Reforms

Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah met with a delegation from the Sindh Lecturers and Professors Association (SPLA) to address issues faced by college teachers. The meeting also discussed promotion mechanisms for grades 17 and above, aiming to simplify the process.

Ali Shah reaffirmed his support for earlier parliamentary remarks on promotion reforms, stating that progress would be made in consultation with educators. Infrastructure improvements were highlighted, including schemes for furniture and laboratory equipment provision, as well as efforts to modernize computer labs and upgrade existing facilities.

The decision was made to handle book procurement for the four-year BS program at the college level using current budgets, ensuring timely availability of academic resources.
