Dar, Abdelatty discuss regional tensions in call

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdelatty, highlighting concerns over tense regional situations. Speaking on behalf of the Foreign Office, a spokesperson detailed their discussion.

Dar conveyed deep apprehension about the volatile regional climate, reiterating the need for de-escalation and adherence to international law. In response, Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to these principles.

Both leaders highlighted the robust bilateral ties between Pakistan and Egypt, emphasizing the importance of maintaining close coordination and consultations to foster peace in the region.

“Regional tensions cannot be allowed to overshadow our shared values,” remarked Dar. “It is imperative that we uphold international norms while reinforcing our strategic partnership.”

Abdelatty concurred, stating, “Egypt stands ready to continue supporting Pakistan’s efforts toward regional stability.”

The Foreign Office spokesperson concluded by reiterating their commitment to promoting peace and stability in the region through close collaboration between both nations.
