Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar expressed strong condemnation for unwarranted attacks directed at Iran in a recent phone call with the country’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. The two leaders discussed the evolving situation within Iran as well as broader regional dynamics.

The Foreign Office confirmed that, amid escalating tensions, Dar urged for an immediate halt to any military escalation. He highlighted the need for “urgent resumption of diplomacy” to achieve a peaceful and negotiated resolution to the crisis.

This development follows Saturday’s joint strikes by the United States and Israel on Iran, which not only intensified regional conflicts but also led to heightened fears among several Gulf Arab states that they might be targeted with Iranian missiles. Tehran had earlier vowed retaliation against these military actions.

Dar’s statement underscored his firm stance against any unwarranted aggression towards a country that has played a pivotal role in the region for decades, calling for a swift return to dialogue and peaceful negotiations.
