EasyPaisa’s financial services platform has shattered conventions and empowered women in Pakistan with its innovative Audio Nikahnama feature. This revolutionary addition to the EasyPaisa app grants women access to their marital rights, marking a significant step towards gender equality and autonomy.
Traditionally, due to literacy constraints, two-thirds of Pakistani women are unable to read their Nikahnama, while one-third lack timely access to it, according to the National Commission on the Status of Women. EasyPaisa’s Audio Nikahnama emerges as a free, accessible, and user-friendly solution to this issue.
Women can now dial the dedicated number (0341-1171222) or download the EasyPaisa app to gain access to this invaluable tool, which presents the Nikahnama in seven different languages, facilitating comprehension and awareness. Additionally, the app offers a sign language option for hearing-impaired individuals, fostering inclusivity and understanding.
Rafah Qadri, Head of Marketing and Communications at EasyPaisa, hailed this advancement as a breakthrough for countless women who have entered marriages without fully understanding the terms of the Nikahnama. By eliminating these barriers, EasyPaisa empowers women to make informed decisions about their futures, transcending mere technological advancement to promote empowerment, transparency, and financial stability.
Accessible to all, EasyPaisa’s Audio Nikahnama not only educates women about their rights but also fosters open dialogue about marital matters, paving the way for a brighter future.
