Eight Militants Killed, One Officer Martyred in Bannu IBO Encounter

Bannu, Pakistan – An intelligence-led operation in the Miryan area resulted in the deaths of at least eight militants and one police officer on Saturday. Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) officials confirmed that security forces engaged in heavy exchanges with armed militants before recovering a 10-kilogram improvised explosive device.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police, Zulfiqar Hameed, stated that operations against Fitna al-Khawarij and anti-state elements will intensify. He emphasized the provincial police’s role in protecting citizens’ lives and property.
