Election Symbol Drama: PTI and PTI-Nazriati’s Alleged Agreement Unveiled

An alleged agreement between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the PTI-Nazriati group regarding the election symbol has come to light.

This revelation follows PTI’s strategic Plan B, instructing its candidates to submit tickets under the symbol of the ‘batsman.’Insiders from PTI have confirmed the existence of the agreement, disclosing that both parties signed the pact on December 30, 2023.According to the terms, if PTI retains the election symbol “Bat,” both parties will jointly participate in the upcoming elections.

However, if PTI opts for a different symbol, PTI and PTI-Nazriati will independently contest with the “Batsman” symbol.The agreement extends further, outlining that all members of PTI Nazriati will adhere to the instructions of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. Additionally, it specifies a mutual understanding that candidates from both parties will refrain from competing against each other in the elections.

The document concludes by stating that PTI Nazriati plans to field its candidates in seven constituencies, and PTI expresses a welcoming stance towards Nazriati group head Akhtar Iqbal Dar should he decide to join the party.
